UHAMKA EXPANDS NETWORKING COOPERATION IN INDIA

UHAMKA Rector, Prof. Dr. Suyatno, M.Pd., along with a group of Muhammadiyah Central Leaders led by KH. Haedar Nashir, General Chairman of Muhammadiyah, together with Indonesian Ambassador at the Indonesian Embassy, Arto Suryodipuro, held a working visit agenda in New Delhi (Friday, 20 April 2018).

This meeting discussed about the Development of Da’wah Muhammadiyah, increased cooperation in the field of Human Resource Education and Science and Economics and industry in India.

During his visit to India, Haedar Nashir gave a public lecture at Jawahalal Nehru University. On the occasion also signed a cooperation agreement between Jawahalal Nehru University and University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA) by Prof. Dr. Suyatno, M.Pd. and Dr. Sofyan Anif from Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS).

In addition, Haedar Nasir also legalized the Special Branch of Muhammadiyah (PCIM) in India, as well as inaugurating its board for 2018-2020 periods. The composition of PCIM India’s board consisted of Chairman is Brenny Novriansyah Ibrahim; the Secretary is Mohd. Agoes Aufiya; the Treasurer is Prabowo Juniarso with the members Zia Muhammad Adib Zein, Riski Multazam and Arif Rahman.

UHAMKA Rector, Prof Suyatno, also conveyed that UHAMKA is going to the global University. UHAMKA keeps trying to establish cooperation with foreign universities in various countries such as China, Taiwan, Korea, Australia.
