Thursday, April 5, 2018 Rector of University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA (UHAMKA) Prof. Dr. H. Suyatno, M. Pd. inducts the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Wawang S. Sukarya, Sp. OG (K), MARS tenure 2018 – 2022 at UHAMKA Campus Hall Limau. The inductee is based on the Rector’s Decree. In the inductee was attended by Assembly of Higher Education and Research and Development of PP Muhammadiyah, Prof. Dr. H.M. Noor Rochman Hadjam, Vice ​​Rector II Dr. H. Muchdie, M.S. Vice Rector III Dr. H. Bunyamin, M.Pd., as well as the UHAMKA Board Director.

In the inductee procession, the pronunciation of the oath of office and the signing of the appointment, Integrity Pact by the Dean of Faculty of Medicine was then followed by the Submission of Report of Taskforce Team Leader of Faculty of Medicine Establishment by H. Maryono Raharjo, SE., MM to UHAMKA Rector.

On the occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in his speech said the Faculty of Medicine is of high value. This is because the educational system of Medical Science is educated to refer to the world for the purpose of changing the campus accreditation for the better. The system is called Competition-Based Learning (CBL).

“With the long struggle of the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine which is not easy, starting with Brain storming between the compiler and Rectorate team in 2014, various comparative studies conducted, the passage of memorandum of understanding between UHAMKA with RSIJ Pondok Kopi for the main education appointment of UHAMKA Faculty of Medicine, vision, mission, goals, objectives of medical study program by the team of drafting together the Rector and Vice Rectors, filtering human resources of educators, until the achievement of the UHAMKA Medical Faculty Decree on March 8, 2018. This means that the four years of struggle have not reached here, the struggle is still long. This is an important capital because a challenge that must be motivated.” As it was said by the Assembly of Higher Education and Research and Development of PP Muhammadiyah.

Additionally, “With good experience, knowledge and networking, UHAMKA Medical Faculty is ready to compete with leading universities, and by filtering human resources and educators in the Faculty of Medicine, hopefully their future will become the seeds of academic cadres.”

UHAMKA Rector, in this case, encourages us to always give benefits the community through strong academic strength. In addition, it is also important to keep hard working in building innovations.
