University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA held the Inauguration of the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Submission of Decree of the Chancellor of University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA. This activity was held offline at the AR Fachrudin Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Uhamka (02/23).
This activity was attended by Prof. Gunawan Suryoputro as Chancellor of Uhamka, all Vice-Chancellors, all Deans and Vice Deans, and Uhamka officials. The inauguration of appointments for new officials within the Faculty of Engineering Uhamka is mandated to;
1. Rifky, S.T., M.M. as Vice Dean I for Education and Teaching, Research, Community Service, and Quality Assurance FT Uhamka
2. Oktarina Heriyani, S.Si., M.T. as Vice Dean II for Human Resources, Finance, and Infrastructure, FT Uhamka.
3. Moh Yusuf Djeli, M.M., M.T. as Vice Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Promotion FT Uhamka.
4. Arif Hamzah, M.A. as Vice Dean IV for Al Islam Kemuhammadiyahan and Islamic Campus Development FT Uhamka.
Prof. Gunawan Suryoputro, in his speech, said that he encourages innovation in every faculty, especially in the Faculty of Engineering (FT) to expand its opportunities in four fields. The four fields are profession, certification, academic, and vocational.
“Various ideas for certification have emerged in the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Medicine. I want to continue to encourage the development of certification because currently these competencies are needed,” said Prof. Gunawan.
Furthermore, he conveyed that the Faculty of Engineering could expand its potential as a vocational program because currently, Kemndikbudristek is opening submissions for vocational programs in the field of science-technology.
“This is a good opportunity for FT Uhamka. Therefore, I asked the Dean to develop his science technology. However, to enter this phase, we can start from the certification program," said Prof. Gunawan.
On the other hand, he also mentioned the Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI), which had just been handed over to Hendi Saryanto, S.T., M.Eng. as the Head of the Uhamka Intellectual Property Rights Center. Prof. Gunawan asked that all of them should be able to patent the results of research and lecturer services that are beneficial to the community through the Uhamka Research and Development Institute. Furthermore, the Chancellor Uhamka gave the mandate to Dr. Yessy Yanita Sari, M.Pd. as Head of the Master's Degree Basic Education Study Program.
