Improving the Quality of Lecturers, Uhamka Implements Sabbatical Leave Uhamka 2022 Program, Four Lecturers Participating in the SLU Program are Ready to Advance to Dissertation Session

As the best Muhammadiyah University ranked 5th in the version of Webometrics 2022, Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA (Uhamka) is unstoppably committed to improving the quality of the curriculum, governance, infrastructure, and technology and most importantly improving the quality of human resources (HR) to achieve its vision and mission as a Prophetic Teaching University in 2024.

Improving the quality or quality of human resources is a priority program of the Uhamka Rector and is a strategic plan for at least 50% of lecturers with doctoral degrees to achieve the Vision-Mission of the Prophetic Teaching University in 2024.

Various programs have been implemented by Uhamka to ensure this achievement, one of which is the Sabbatical Leave Uhamka 2022 program. This agenda is a special activity for lecturers who are taking doctoral degrees S3 for 2 full months starting from early February to the end of March. This program is designed to ensure that lecturers focus on preparing dissertation proposals and those who are ready for trial to focus more on their studies within the targeted time.

Until now (14/02), this activity has been carried out for 2 weeks since February 2, 2022, and has produced encouraging results, namely 4 participating lecturers moving quickly in completing their proposals and dissertations.

1. Agus Pambudi Dharma has completed the Commission Session at IPB on Friday, February 11, 2022;

2. Rita Agustina Karnawati has obtained approval for the revision of the results of the dissertation proposal seminar from two Advisors, Promoters and Co-Promoters on Saturday 12 February 2022;

3. Muhammad Dwi Fajri has obtained the approval of his dissertation supervisor on Saturday 12 February 2022;

4. Syarif Hidayatullah attended the Dissertation Proposal seminar on Monday, February 14, 2022.

Prof. Dr. Gunawan Suryoputro appreciated the seriousness of the lecturers who took part in the Sabbatical Leave Uhamka activity to immediately complete their doctoral studies.

"To achieve the Prophetic Teaching University's Vision Mission in 2024, we at Uhamka must have at least 50% of lecturers with Doctoral degrees. To achieve this, Uhamka facilitates them (lecturers who study doctoral degrees) with scholarships or additional costs for doctoral studies from Uhamka. Not only that, Uhamka provides long leave so that they can focus on completing their doctoral studies by joining the Sabbatical Leave Uhamka 2022 program. And Alhamdulillah, I am happy to hear that it has been two weeks since 4 lecturers have moved quickly, hopefully, others can follow suit and can quickly complete their doctoral studies,” said Gunawan.
